How we collect, use and protect personal data — written to be read, not to be survived.

Who we are

GIKOS Technologies ("GIKOS", "we", "us") provides software engineering services across artificial intelligence, mobile, cloud, IoT, data and design. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website and through our commercial relationships.

Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number and the content of any enquiry you submit through our contact form or send to us by email.

Information collected automatically: standard server and analytics data such as browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.

We do not collect special-category personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not include confidential client information in an initial enquiry.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry and to discuss a potential engagement.

To provide, manage and support services under an agreed contract.

To send occasional updates about our services where you have asked to receive them. Every such message includes an unsubscribe link.

To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

Legal basis

Where GDPR or comparable law applies, we rely on legitimate interests for responding to business enquiries, on the performance of a contract for delivering our services, on consent for marketing communications, and on legal obligation where retention is required by law.

Client data during an engagement

When we deliver a project, any personal data we access belongs to our client and is processed strictly on their documented instructions under a data processing agreement.

We apply least-privilege access, keep client environments segregated, encrypt data in transit and at rest, and can deploy entirely within a client’s own cloud tenancy or on-premises so that sensitive data never leaves their boundary.

All intellectual property created for a client is assigned to that client on the terms of the engagement contract.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — such as hosting, email and analytics providers — under contracts that restrict their use of it, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to 24 months from our last contact unless it becomes part of a contractual relationship, in which case records are kept for the duration of that relationship plus any statutory retention period.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent, or request a portable copy.

To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@gikostechnologies.com. We respond to verified requests within one month.

Cookies

This site does not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first.

Security

We maintain technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption, access control, dependency and vulnerability scanning, logging and regular review. No system is perfectly secure, but security is designed into our work from the first sprint rather than added before an audit.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the date below.

Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@gikostechnologies.com.
